2024 Texas Road Trip: Padre Is. National Seashore

The trip today was just a quick 30 mins. Liz drove ahead and found a great site in the primitive camping area. It was on pavement so that was good, but luckily the next morning we were able to move to the beach side of the RV area. About a minute walk to the beach so we were very close to the amazing ocean and all the weather.

Again, we had great sunrises and walks on the beach. Hard to beat this kind of problem.

March again has some windy days here and yes, we felt it at night. All was good but it was constant 20 - 30 mph winds.

As we got closer to Easter Jim and Cathy extended a gracious offer for a quick little trip around the harbor on their sailboat. We brought the sandwiches, and they did the rest!!! Wow what a 'Romantic' afternoon of great on the water time and conversation. These are where memories are made from.

Easter was the next day and Liz was ready. Dyeing of the eggs and a great breakfast.

After 5 nights it was time to move back to our great little hide away near Port Aransas. The RV Park was extremely peaceful and a perfect place to work from as we cleaned up and readied ourselves for the big event. We are leaving on April 5th for the return trip which starts with the April 8th eclipse. Rowan is not going to be able to make it which is a real bummer but the show must go on!
