Wait for It... We have some news...!

Well, no use in waiting more! As some of you know we have been thinking about making some changes for this next phase of our lives as we become empty nesters and look ahead to what we want to do after retirement in a few years. Well, we took our first baby step on Saturday 5/25/2024! It's a little sooner than planned but couldn't pass up on the opportunity and the price, and decided life is too short and valuable to keep waiting for the "perfect" time to make a change.

Well, what is it?

Liz took the plunge and now is the proud owner of a new 2023 Winnebago Solis camper van! (It's actually a joint venture but Liz is really excited about building a little camping-based business. It is a really great camper that sleeps 4, 2 in a queen bed and 2 in the rooftop popup! It has a mini kitchen, wet bath with little toilet, and can camp in summer and winter. It's like a modern version of the old VW Vanagon we all remember from the 70's. We are still working on our business model but are starting just by renting it out - kind of like a little mobile Air BnB! - and using it ourselves when we want to. We're still working on our business model, but down the road we will likely be adding travel planning services and activities of some kind.

Being close to our family and friends is really important to us and we hope that this little van will enable us to share some joint "campering" trips with you all! Please join us when you can and then the little van can help us all live a richer life.

Not much more yet but we are excited to start shifting away from the lives we've known for a long time and into the unknown. We pick it up 6/1/2024 at 12:15pm. Then the fun begins!

Clint and Liz

Oh, and we think the business name is going to be 'Wayfinder Northwest' but are still working on it (for now the name will cover our van travel business as well as Liz's consulting). We are also working on a name for the little van itself. And planning to get some fun vinyl decals to perk up the gray color!

A day at the San Diego Zoo

We arrived in San Diego on the 14th day of our trip, and one of the things we really wanted to do was the Zoo. We have mixed feelings...
